The Cobo tablet punch appears to be discontinued but I have some left. It is a metal object that doesn't rust so there is no shelf life. These bad boys will be good forever. I thought it was a great product. I still have about 5 more to sell. The item is similar to any of the recovery devices that use a center punch. You use the punch to make a permanent mark in the device representing the letter and the position of the letter. I am using part of one of these right now. It can do 24 words but I am only using the 12 word part at the moment. I am using the center metal piece.
One of the negatives of this style device is that you can't change it and you can't fix mistakes. I am kind of particular so I didn't want to use a black market to mark the spots before I made my indentations. That was a mistake. I had my wife proof my tablet and I had made a mistake on a letter.
I ended keeping the ruined piece for trying out different hole punchers. I was able to salvage the piece in the middle and use that for a different 12 word wallet that needed backup.
