Top 10 Hardware Wallets to store Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency
Hardware wallets are one of safest ways to protect your cryptocurrency. Not all hardware wallets are created the same. This is our Top 10 Hardware Wallets List.
1. D'CENT Hardware wallet by IoTrust
IoTrust is a South Korean company that specializes in wallets and crypto currency software. Their wallet is number one because their wallet is easy to use. It uses a fingerprint to unlock instead of a multi digit code. Their iOS Software is great. They have a built in Dapp browser. You can access Pancake Swap and Uniswap. The firmware update procedure is one of the easiest we have done. The company has been extremely responsive whenever we had a question.
2. SafePal S1
The SafePal S1 combined with the Safepal IOS software is amazing. This wallet was built with Binance and is the ultimate wallet for trading BEP2 and BEP20 tokens. The device doesn't touch your computer or phone except for updates. It uses QR codes and a built in camera. It is very hard for people located in the US to access Binance Smart Chain and the Binance Dex, This might help.
3. Keevo
The Keevo wallet stores Bitcoin and ERC20 tokens and a few other main coins. What makes it special is its value added services. They have a unique approach where you don't have to record a 12 word or 24 word seed phrase. They use your fingerprint, a password, your device, and a carbon key to store your keys. In order to use the Keevo wallet you need 3 of the 4. If you lose your wallet but you have your carbon key, you can get a new wallet and recover as long as you still have your fingerprint and your code. To make it even better, you can get a service from Iron Trust and Keevo where they will store your carbon key and have it available in an emergency. It is safe because they only have 1 of the 3 keys needed to access your wallet. We don't sell the Keevo, you will need to order direct from their website. Tell them we sent you. We will be lowering the rating of Keevo a few notches. We have had trouble getting our fingerprint recognized and it is not available on Ios or Android.
4. Trezor Model T
5. Ledger Nano X
6. SecuX V20
7. Ledger Nano S
8. Ballet Credit Card Wallet
9. Bitbox 02 Bitcoin Only Edition
This little device is perfect for storing Bitcoin safely. Instead of using a 24 word seed phrase, you use a micro SD card as your backup. You can still get the seed phrase if you want. You access the Bitbox using your software that you download to your device. One potential issue with Bitbox is that it doesn't work with iOS. You need a PC, a Mac, an Android phone, or a machine running Linux. Not working with an iOS device could be an issue for a lot of people. They don't plan on doing firmware updates because they take safety so seriously. Expect the device to remain the exact same for years. I am not sure if an iOS option will be available in the future. If it requires a firmware upgrade, the answer is probably no. There is also a multicoin addition which works with about 20 EC tokens. You can attach the multicoin edition to MyEtherWallet or MEW as its known. With MEW you get access to all ERC20 tokens and Ethereum Defi.
10 Trezor Model One
We will continue our reviews as time allows. We have tried all the wallets, we just need to type up summaries. We plan to keep this list current. The list will be dynamic and we will change as wallets upgrade their firmware to allow more Defi and better features.
